All iced tea is healthy if you cold-brew your own from looseleaf tea or tea bags.

Just use a bit of lemon or mint to taste.

Anything you buy premade is likely full of sugar and preservatives.

So the lemon tea granules in Lidl must be sugary. That's probably why it tastes so good, as you said.

Not entirely sure..but I would assume green tea.

I have heard green tea has various antioxidants(I admit i don't exactly know what those are but I understand they are healthy) but other than that I mean it tastes good cold at least in my opinion. I just recently made a pot of sun-tea with a bunch of cheap green tea bags and it came out pretty good though I suspect higher qualities of green tea may create an even better tasting tea.

Granted technically green tea and black tea are the same plant I think, but the green tea is easier to drink and has a bit smoother of a taste as opposed to black tea which can get much more bitter.

LOl now I see on most packages for iced tea bags, it says to steep it in hot water then add ice and a bit more water to dilute...but IDK my mom always used the sun-tea method where you just put the tea bags in the water and set it out in the sun till it gets brewed so that's how I do it. I'd almost say I prefer the taste that way, but then I haven't tried the brew it in the pot and just add cold water and ice method so IDK. But yeah that is how i made my last cold brew of green tea, set a pitcher out in the sun with like 7 regular sized green tea bags and chilled it in the refridgerator after and I think it turned out pretty good.

That said if you are looking for something without caffeine the honey infused celstial seasonings teas are pretty good like they have honey camomille and a couple others like that. or any sort of lemon and ginger tea you can find. Especially if you get allergies or your throat gets irritated a lot teas with lemon, ginger and honey are good. Or you could just get a lemon ginger tea and add honey. But yeah I like tea with caffeine but I also very much enjoy a lot of the more herbal tea blends that don't have caffine, it can be quite nice to have a warm cup of tea at night...so I keep a lot of herbal teas that are more relaxing and don't have caffine for that purpose.

I brew a loose-leaf jasmine green tea. Since OP you are located in California, Chinese grocery markets are easy to come by, and most if not all of them carry this jasmine tea in a metal box. Bigger supermarkets also carry black tea, bricked tea, other fermented tea, but those are better served hot in tiny cups.

For the jasmine green, brew and filter it just like coffee, add in sugar (I prefer very small amounts of it, sometimes none at all, to preserve the taste of jasmine flower), then freeze and bottle. This tea works the same way as coffee, in that you only need to make enough tea for one day, and you do not want to drink leftover tea from yesterday.

Japanese stores also have their matcha and genmai green tea that taste very uniquely different. Whether they fit you or not, you need to be there and taste for yourself.

Tea may not be so healthy if you need a lot of sugar to make it drinkable.
You may want to experiment with different teas to find something you can drink with a minimal amount of sugar.

It's really cheap to get into loose leaf, that stuff is probably a black & green tea blend. Brewing temperature depends on what you're brewing, besides that it's all down to how much or how little caffeine you want.
