This morning we had a thunderstorm where I live, and thunderstorms are rare here these days, but I missed the whole thunderstorm because I was asleep - and I love thunderstorms. But I missed it because I have misophonia and so get really distracted and upset with certain sounds (like the neighbour upstairs constantly moving about and vacuums a lot, or my boyfriend's loud snoring), but there are sounds that I love too - like thunderstorms. Not just the sound, but the sight of the lightning and even the smell of the summer rain. But I missed it because I was sleeping with earplugs. If I didn't have earplugs I probably would have woken up and heard the storm, as apparently it was pretty loud.
It seems everyone got woken up by it or were already up to see it. It's not fair. I hate having to wear earplugs a lot of the time.
