This year sums up non-disabled NT selfishness
All through lockdown - moaning. Not cos of jobs or poverty, that's understandable. Just out of 'I want to go get drunk cos I have no hobbies'
After lock down - meet up with as many people as legally possible as quickly as possible. Never mind the spread.
Ignore 2 metre rules, ignore social distancing. Bash into each other. Go out in large groups.
But if an autistic person dares either not wear a mask because it's physically impossible to get past the discomfort? Or even (in my case) raise that that's a situation for some people?
Massive criticisms for the autistic person.
They go round counting how many masks people are wearing ffs...
I understand the fear of losing jobs. I understand fearing the virus - I think I fear it more than most and I was months in the house and plan on spending winter inside too. But I don't understand the double standards or the 'need' to get drunk & hang out in large gangs of people all the time.
I saw a kid on the news and the kid's disabled and they have to still do 100% shielding on dr's advice. If the virus wasn't spreading so fast, they could go out for a walk (what's known as a 'roll') with their families.
My family were shielding cos of mum's illness & I was scared to lose her. I wear a mask. I don't hang out in a large gang. I've only seen one person apart from my immediate family since lockdown ended. Granddad - so still a relative.

I agree that it's ironic that people that aren't abiding to the social distancing are criticising people who can't wear a mask for valid reasons.
However, I think people are just becoming complacent, and also bored and fed up with this whole COVID thing. In the UK they reckon that about 250,000 people will die from medical neglect because a lot of the GPs using the COVID crisis as an excuse not to see patients properly and are only giving guessed diagnoses or prognoses or medication over the phone to people with cancer or heart disease or other deadly illnesses that aren't COVID.
That's more deaths than the people in the UK who died of COVID, which is approximately 46,000. And 80% of people with COVID don't even get symptoms, which is why everyone's got to go around with masks on and social distance.

You think it’s bad in the U.K.? TRY LIVING IN SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA, WHICH IS SOLIDLY TRUMP COUNTRY!! !!
They are totally ready to lynch the Governor, Tom Wolf, a Democrat, for the lockdown and mandatory mask wearing in public. What’s worse, they are as bad, if not worse, than anti-vaxxers (and a lot of them also support the anti-vaxxers.). They are complaining because they say the freedoms are being taken away, not by bit. They’re also of the opinion that it’s MY fault if they transmit COVID-19 to me! Sorry, but I’m diabetic, and I’m not taking chances, due to a compromised immune system!
If you think I’m a Wolf supporter, think
again! IMNSHO, Wolf is a wimp (and that’s me being kind.) Unlike Cuomo in New York State, a Democrat, or Hogan, in Maryland, A Republican, Wolf is “sucking up” to Trump. Personally, his executive secretary is smarter than he is. How do I know that? I’ve known her since Junior High School (and she’s one month older than me
Ah, the joys of dealing with these damn, hard-headed Pennsylvania Dutch!
