First off, Thank you! This post may be a bit lengthy, but I believe it's worth a read.

(Wasn't really sure where to put this.)

in 2014, I was going through a lot of issues in my life, and without an outlet, I posted here. I received a lot of advice, and also some opinions, but I am most thankful for all the positivity, virtual hugs, and general support I was shown by this forum. Let me go back and discuss this at depth.

Back then, I was so unhappy. I was being mentally and emotionally abused, robbed, and just generally treated like garbage. I had no self esteem and I honestly was at the point of ending it all. But, I found this forum, and because I was able to talk about how I felt without judgment, I was able to hold out a little longer and a little longer and even longer. Finally, a family member of mine helped me find the strength to move away. I live an entire state away now and I'm so much happier. I have had to learn how to deal with my issues and I'm currently in therapy, but my outlook is so much better. I just had to make a post here after revisiting my old posts to express my gratitude to everyone who gave me a smile, a hug, some advice, or just silently listened. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank YOU, for inspiring me to thank Alex for starting WP.
For someone who lives alone and is alone almost all the time, WP is like having someone to talk to when there is no family or companion to be there.
Thank you, everyone on WP who has been understanding and patient and kind.
You are all such good people.

I'm glad things turned out well for you too.
In the 7 years I have been here, I have grown enormously.
It helps to be with your own kind.

People like to rag on forums all the time because, lets be honest a lot of pricks post on them in general but you do definitely get the genuine good empathetic people who do really try their best to help out and it's always a beautiful thing to see.

I'm glad you found the help you needed - there are some absolute gems on this forum and I'm sure they have helped tons of people before you, silently.

A lot of the moderators go out of their way from what I have seen on here, especially when there's really hard posts to read because it's so sad.

:) This is exactly why I wanted to say thank you, because everyone who helps others need to hear that sometimes. Too often do kind deeds go un-noticed and under appreciated. This is also part of the positivity I'm trying to create for myself, to become a better person in general.

It helps a lot to be able to communicate with someone who understands the INABILITY to communicate with most people.
It helps to know that others go through the hurt feelings, anger, bewilderment, loneliness that I do.
Thank y’all for sharing and for suggestions and for just listening.
