I feel that it would have been better if:
Jack Ryan's wife and daughter were killed in the attempt on their lives rather than surviving. Or at least the daughter at the very least. It feels that the filmmakers wanted to introduce a dark turn but then got cold feet to fully commit to it.
I feel that having a near miss like they did, causes the thriller to become a much more average thriller in comparison. But what do you think?
