Why have movies gone up in price lately quite signnificantly

Anyone else notice this, if you want to buy movies on physical media, they seem to be about 30 dollars more than they use to be for a lot of them, or is it me?

Are they made in much smaller quantities these days? That might play a role because economies of scale aren't in play to the same extent.

Oh okay. Perhaps I am out of touch with the times. Should I just pay to download a copy of the move then? But sometimes downloaded copies do not look as good for some reason.

That's what I'd do.

Is there any difference between how the digital copy is mastered vs. how a version is mastered to blu-ray? If they're mastered the same they should be identical.

The downloaded versions seem to have a little more noise in the past. Where can you download though. Does Amazon have downloading options?

No idea, tbh. I mostly watch educational stuff on YouTube. It's been years since I last watched a movie.
