Ocular migraines suck, less than the painful migraines, but they still suck.

Yeah, I know, am totally failing that one right now,
While the symptoms can be disorienting and distressing, they are often short-lived, and almost always reversible. Take some time away from triggers and wait for the symptoms to fade.
as well as that, am dealing with several days of muscle spasms which feel like someone rolling a magic marker up and down my back on each side of spine,

Oh man. I feel your pain and hope you get better soon.
I get ocular migraines which make my entire field of vision go like multicoloured kaleidoscopes with zigzags and quivering, broken glass shapes. They make me feel incredibly ill and I can't even see my hand in front of my face when it happens. They last about an hour or two even with my prescription meds (Maxalt or Frova). They generally don't involve headache pain. I do get regular migraines with intense pain requiring prescription meds (Fiorinol), but luckily I don't get regular migraines and ocular migraines at the same time.

I've had scintillating scotomas a few times, but otherwise am not troubled by any form of migraine. The scintillating scotomas didn't bother me, I thought they were kind of neat. I feel very fortunate that I don't get migraines, my sister did and my daughter too.

I just googled to see what 'scintillating scotomas' are. That's what I get, and I call them ocular migraines. I didn't know that terminology, so thanks. They don't hurt like normal migraines but they make me feel sick as hell from disorientation. They used to happen quite frequently but now they only happen maybe 2-3 times a year, at most.

Hey y'all; Thanks!
It has been difficult to pretty much do nothing today.
That going on with my eyes and brain; cramps, pain, spasms in my hands; muscle spasm other places too.
Needed to find something to do which did not involve using either my body or mind.
Couldn't find it.
But did succeed at pretty much doing nothing all day.
Somehow I don't feel like that is a success to celebrate.
