Irritating ads on this site DRIVING ME CRAZY

I think those top ads were the ones most people had problems with.

For those wondering why this site must use ads, it is as simple as the servers and bandwidth isn't free. Somebody has to pay it. So if you don't have something to do, please click some of the adverts.

For those who think "internet is something your parents pay" compared to a site like wrongplanet.net is like comparing a 80's car with a brand new one. And the cost is just about equal.

I want a 60's car - at the latest.

I have just seen a flashing advert at the bottom of the page with a man with half is head removed and his brain hanging out of the top, with the words "Give Frank a joint" (or something).

Please get rid of this crap.

Probably regional.

Frank is some part of a British anti-drug propaganda.

This is to let you know that I havent seen any flashing ad, only because I have my firewall block animated ads. Static ads I allow to display, though I must say I rarely click on ads.

I dont mind Google ads as long as they are static, and relevant. However the "stupid" AI filter for the ad make a blunder such as cure for Autism. On that line, I advise you that I find the Dore ad (www.dore.co.uk) is one of attempting to treat Aspies and turning them into simalcrum of NTs, which offend me. Would there be some way of funding your WP site without these ads?

That's something I wondered too. I am proud of being Aspie and not happy to see ads that suggest Aspies are diseased and must be cured. There must be ads that still relate to autism but are more positive.

I think the trouble is, the people selling Dore and other "cures" have a lot of money to put into ads and they therefore would bring in more funds. I was very disappointed at one stage to see an ad for chelation therapy which is unproven scientifically and known to have killed several young children.

I dont see any ads. Use firefox and adblock plus.
