A Couple Of Dreams

I thought that maybe a dream interpretation or perhaps looking past dreams in a way other than just something that happens during your sleep, would only really be suited in this forum rather than the others.

Both of these dreams of mine occured before the age of 12, roughly (I'm 19 now, DX'd when I was 14).

The first one, bearing in mind how vague some dreams can be, entailed my Dad opting that I either be injected with some sort of mutating mixture, or that he kill me. When I protested, he explained that "everyone in the family has it done". Needless to say I woke up the next day quite shaken and "scared that Daddy" was going to kill me lol.

The second, not sure how long the interval between the two was, quite sure it was long enough to warrant that neither were connected in any way, was of me walking through a hospital where doctor's were administering injections into newborn baby's skulls. As I walked outside I discovered the hospital had regular trains arriving bringing others to have the injection. Along the corridors of the hospitals were those who had refused...


The context of both and the MMR vaccine problem that arose (I know it was unfounded), and the similarities between the two, have occured to me, but I knew nothing of autism or asperger's or MMR vaccines at the time.

Also the imagery of the trains bringing in unwilling victims of what the staff obviously thought was nessecary does remind me of the trains into Auschwitz and the bogus Nazi doctor's medical experiments, but once again, I knew nothing of this at the time.

Thoughts anyone?

sounds like you were picking something up from your dad - that he wanted you to be different -, the comment 'everyone in the family ...' and the next dream are all pressure to submit to being different.

injections ? did you have experience of injections at 12 ? did you see a lot of doctors, or have any diabetics in the family, or have a complicated birth ?

skulls ? perhaps you realised that the 'problem' was in your head - if you were aware that you thought differently from others

MMR + Auschwitz : would you really have been aware of this stuff at 12 ? Do you have ancestory from European Jews persecuted in WWII

the feelings that you have in the dream are very important, more important than the images themselves ... what does an injection mean to you ? is it scary, does it represent your dad ?

do any of the scenes 'feel' like any real life scenes that happened at home

I would say both are stemming from a feeling of surpression. To expand that a little, you were feeling like you weren't fitting in, the surpression was rebeling and the way out of it wasn't clear, hence the nightmarish feeling to it. You were feeling both surpressed in the home and out.

The needle is just phalic, don't worry about it. The ugly parts, again don't worry about them, just symbols representing things.

Erm, I was an emergency C-section birth, apart from that, before the age of 14 when I was DX'd, I didn't have much out of normality in terms of involvment with doctors or nurses.

As for the ancestry, I do have Jewish ancestry, yes. On my Mum's side, going back a long way, Jewish ancestors of mine emigrated from Germany to America. They found persecution there so some of them decided to emigrate to Wales. From that line came my Mum's Mum, my Nanna. No one in my family actually practices Judiasm, nor, as far as I know, does anyone else apart from me, my Mum and my Nanna know about the Jewish ancestry.

To be quite honest, as I've grown up, I have become interested in psychology and the Nazi era, along with other things, for many different reasons. I didn't become interested in either fields due to an interpretation of these dreams, although, saying that, I mean intentionally.

N.B By "skulls" I meant as in they were making the injections through the skull, into the brain.
