The sixth pet I've lost in my lifetime. Her cause of death was old age + bleeding from the rear and from her vomit. She was 15. I'm just angry right now. I'm angry that the Humane Society closes at six. I'm angry that everyone has jobs and comes home with barely enough time to make an appointment. I'm angry that I have no ability to drive. I'm angry that we all thought she could last one more day. I'm angry that my younger brother didn't listen to my dad when said to call the Humane Society's emergency number. I'm angry that my dad is upset and is now drinking more today. I'm angry that it's Friday the Goddamn Thirteenth.

Where in the USA does the Humane Society provide emergency veterinary services?

I'm sorry for the loss of your pet. I couldn't tell if Diana was a dog or a cat, but 15 is a ripe old age for either.

I'm very sorry about what happened. It sounds extremely traumatic and stressful. :(

She was a cat. My dad thinks that the Humane Society might've had some sort of emergency number to book an appointment in case of a dying animal so maybe they'd stay open longer.

It is so hard to lose a pet that's been like a family member, especially one that has been with you for so long. I'm so sorry :(
