I'm sure the fact that his intelligence agencies were involved with helping friendly regimes move product to fund death squads and act shady had nothing to do with the glut of cocaine in the '80s. 8)

The laws were intended to put black people in prison. And of course that coke was needed here. All those Wall Street Reaganouts were snorting it like it was going out of style. George W included.

Well that js another law the EU imposed on us that needs addressing.

The stupid EU changed many of our laws on purpose just before we had Brexit and put a stipulation that we had to abide by them for so many years.

That is something that needs changing back.

Put it this way. As a man. Would you go to a random steanger and pay for sex? If you do there is something morally wrong with you and here is why.
Firstly you are degrading yourself by paying for it as you are worth more then that.
Secondly you will be the reason why the sex industry exists.

Here in the UK the sex industry is a horrible one of slavery where women and men (It is not just women) have to sell themselves to pay for drug habbits etc. Very few people involved have no drug or alcohol addictions.
It is a dirty degrading industry that perverts the sanctity of sex.

Oh and Brexit? I'm betting it was rural England and Wales that made it happen. I say allow London and Scotland to stay in the EU. I'm surprised Scotland isn't pushing for another independence referendum because they stayed in the UK mainly to stay in the EU.

Prostitution has been legal in the UK for a long time.

A lot of prostitutes make a lot of money from it. I've been explicitly told by some that they prefer prostitution to any other job and not many of them are drug addicts or alcoholics. The stereotype of the street walker isn't the case anymore.

Not an expert on the subject, but it's legal where I'm from as long as they register as some kind of business and pay their taxes properly... I think. Unless it's changed somehow recently or something. I've read some articles about it, but the last one was several years ago.

Anyway, I don't see a moral issue here as long as the people involved are legal adults and not mentally handicapped, but then there are all those safety issues... honestly, I think simply decriminalizing it would be good, because then the prostitutes wouldn't be punished if they try to get help after being robbed or something.

Another option would be to make it legal but highly regulated and supervised, like only making it legal in brothels that follow very strict rules. Of course, this would be very unlikely to stop illegal street prostitution from happening, but it could lessen it as some customers would move to do it legally and some people who want to make money by prostitution would seek to do it legally for the added safety. Setting out fake prostitutes and clients on the streets (undercover cops) would also be a good idea; they could arrest the people trying to buy or sell sex illegally. Of course, background checks would be done to those arrested, so that the prostitutes who've been forced to it could potentially get help. Not sure how that'd work in practice, though. I know these fake clients are used in some countries, but I've only ever heard of those fake prostitutes in TV shows and movies.

I agree, that's why they treat freebase cocaine much worse than cocaine hydrochloride salt.

Prostitution is legal in the UK----but it's illegal to go out in the public streets to procure customers.

While prostitution is still illegal in most of the U.S.A., Escort services are not.

Paying a certain amount to have an attractive person accompany you to an event, and then paying the same amount again for a happy ending later is how to get around the illegalities.

It's totally illegal in Las Vegas, by the way. Only legal in certain very sparsely populated counties in Nevada.

The reason it's still legal in some Nevada counties goes back to the pioneer days when men outnumbered women in the state by about 80 to 1. Supply and demand.

Located in Pahrump, Nevada, which is in Nye County. LV is in Clark County. This aligns with what Kraftie said.

These women certainly don't seem to be drug addicts with stds. One is a YouTuber with an income of 1.2 million a year.
