still no way to get into the forums except through forum posts.

When I bring up www.wrongplanet.net, there's a discussion button there that leads to the forums.

Are you saying that you don't have the left hand menu at all? Or jsut that your computer isn' allowing you to click the links in it.

Perhaps you need to delete your cookies and temporary internet files, and then log into WP again. I had the same problem.
