for that crowd who long have been denying darwin, they sure do seem to strongly believe in social darwinism.
And they refuse to see the contradiction.

i hope she was not black.
Hard to say
The news cannot identify her because the county cannot release any details about her due to civil service unions which are extremely strong in New York State. She will probably collect a paycheck for years while on leave while the county goes through the process to fire her.
I found some interesting remarks.
"Defend the White Race": American Extremists Being Co-Opted by Ukraine's Far-Right
Source: bellingcat, February 15, 2019
Summary of Findings
Bellingcat has confirmed that in January 2016, Azov, via its online podcast, was in contact with the late Andrew Oneschuk, an imminent member of the violent American neo-Nazi organization Atomwaffen Division. On Azov’s podcast, Oneschuk discussed issues facing Americans that wanted to join Azov, and expressed interest in learning methods of attracting youth to nationalism in America. He was encouraged to try to join Azov.
In another previously unreported case from the autumn of 2018, the political wing of Azov, the National Corps, supported an effort by Joachim Furholm, a Norwegian citizen and self-described “national socialist revolutionary,” to bring American right-wingers to Ukraine to fight against Russian aggression. The effort specifically framed participation in Ukraine’s war against Russian aggression as an opportunity for American right-wingers to acquire combat and other practical experience to be deployed later within the United States after returning home. Furholm also spoke at a political rally held by the National Corps in front of Ukraine’s Parliament in September 2018.

Get it right, it is right to pre-born life. Once you are born, they don't give a <BLEEP> about you.
Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.

Here’s how some experts think attacks like the Buffalo shooting might be prevented

Law enforcement officials say the suspect planned his attack for months. But the police didn’t discover it, even when they detained him in June 2021 over an alleged threat to kill. While not blaming police, experts in mass shootings say the case cried out for intervention from a behavioral threat assessment team — a group of law enforcement and mental health professionals who look closely for a person on a path to violence, and try to intervene to disrupt it.
Given the political gridlock over gun laws, they say this model may be the best hope to reduce the frequency of mass casualty attacks that have become a fixture of American life.

Yes this connection ins't just to Azov. There are various right wing Militia in Ukraine that have been identified by Vice media and unknown numbers of far right foreign volunteers who have both joined and been accepted by the Ukrainian defense forces. The exact number is hard to gauge.
The international far right seems split though, some groups have applauded Putin but many are sympathetic to the Ukrainians as Ukraine has been a known bastion of far right groups. But I understand the need for Zelensky to view them as a "necessary evil" to help push back the Russians. The problem for him is in the distant future how to disarm these groups (I very much doubt they will cooperate now they have such strong influence over Ukrainian politics).
In that sense Azov and others have become a lightning rod for far right groups and individuals (like the shooter). The problem I see is if they are allowed to flourish (post the Russian invasion) then they will likely also be training future domestic right wing terrorists who the FBI have identified as the biggest terror threat to America.
You know where was Azov during this war and what they were doing, right? You know what they've been through and what they are risking right now, don't you?
That a lot transcedes their past as a bunch of nationalist kids.
Sad that some nationalist kids elsewhere in the world connect to them on a completely wrong level.
But that's a common problem with nationalist kids: they get some historical heroes and try to be just like them - without realizing it's a completely different reality, they're not heroes, they are the harmful ones now.

Here is an example. About the reaction of factions within the country that see each other as "evil" when faced with overwhelming aggression.
Second United Front
In 1927 the Chinese Communists retaliated against Kuomintang following a betrayal of its members in Shanghai by National Revolutionary Army commander Chiang Kai-shek, which marked the end of the KMT's four-year alliance with the Soviet Union and its cooperation with the CCP during the Northern Expedition (aka First United Front) to defeat warlords and unify China.[1]
In 1931 the Japanese launched its invasion and subsequent occupation of Manchuria. Chiang Kai-shek, who de facto led the central government of China, decided that China must avoid all-out war with Japan due to domestic turmoil and inadequate preparation. Therefore, he "pursued a strategy of appeasing Japan while struggling for real national unity and over time sufficient strength to confront the Imperial army. This appeasement policy lasted for another six years".[2] Even though his campaigns against the Communists resulted in their retreat and a 90% reduction in their fighting strength, he was unable to eliminate their forces entirely, and his policy of "internal pacification before external resistance" ((in Chinese):攘外必先安内) was very unpopular with the Chinese populace, which caused widespread resentment and demonstration against the ruling KMT leadership and its regional warlord allies.[3]
The loss of the Chinese people in World War II was extremely tragic and related to this.
It would not be wise to exclude Azov from military might to fight Russia, unless the differences have become irreconcilable.
But at the same time it's best to use a more discreet approach to mentioning them in the publicity.

Whoever has the "most" motivation doesn't mean that everyone who does it shares the same position as that one.
In some cases, they are actually antagonists.
Because I find that some people often break out into more irrational behaviors after finding themselves deceived/misguided.

It remains to be seen how Zelensky will manage their influence once Russia withdraws and there is some sort of stalemate or treaty.
