I remember a while ago, watching some debate discussing different subjects and one of which was Do We Place To Much Value On Appearance ? and there was some woman on there who owned her own beauty business and had a career on TV and radio and had cosmetic surgery to make herself look a bit like Barbie and she was saying ''Well, if you are unhappy about something, then go and change it and address it or just stop whinging about it.'' She was someone who seemed to come across as quite smug and was of the opinion that appearance does matter even though it shouldn't really always matter. I seem to think that words like her's just makes other people who complain more than doing something more discouraged into still not doing something because the advice is coming across more like bullying and is also coming across as narrow-minded, uncaring and unsympathetic. She was also the person who said that ''At the end of the day, we don't want to be seeing ''ugly'' people adorning our screens.'' when being asked if what we see on TV is reality or a distortion of reality.

I do sometimes beat myself up in my own head for not always doing something about something I'm unhappy about. I used to think I didn't like the way my face looked as I used to think I have a very big nose but that doesn't seem to bother me anymore and I'd rather stick with the face I was born with rather than spend thousands of pounds on surgery to have it changed. I still won't go and visit a gym to make myself look like Stallone. I have bar-bells at home and do the occasional press-ups but I still won't dedicate my life to a strict fitness regime even though I always try to look after my own health and fitness.
