I would have to disagree with you there. Most people care a lot about others, hence why the 'emergency orders' went on for two years and why people covered their faces so long.
If you are sick or immunocompromised you have every right to protect yourselves. But you do not have the right to project your needs onto those who are not sick or immunocompromised, or to peer pressure us into practices you deem necessary.

It’s still the law here so it’s not peer pressure.
I lived with a PhD Epidemiologist during the height of Covid. She was doing frontline Covid research. We knew more about transmission than the average bear.
I’m not American but I know there were many who refused to wear masks, and were eager to fly to other countries or go to events like that Astroworld concert where people got trampled, instead of considering the public health risk. Here we would have been arrested.
Those are the types of people I was referring to as selfish.
