Night terrors Can Be a byproduct of having a chemical sensitivity to salicylate acids, which according to some medical studies I've read, 70% of people on the spectrum have to some degree. They're plants' natural preservative and pesticide, and are boosted sky high in GMO foods.
I know when they were at very high levels for me they built up and caused some serious freak outs.
Anyways, it's mineral deficiencies in magnesium and sulphur that allow them to build up from foods we eat and things we put on our skin. The way to counter it is to put epsom salts on your skin - just epsom salts and water will do, or soak your feet in epsom salts and water. In a pinch when I needed to bring levels down NOW I mixed up about a 1/2 teaspoon in water and drank it. It won't harm you. Too much and it'll just cause diarrhoea.
Could try some epsom salts and water on your skin for a few days and see what happens as it absorbs. Chemically what happens is you absorb the minerals from the salts and then that's what your body needs for the excess acids to bind to so you can urinate them out.

There's other, more common symptoms with Salicylate sensitivity. Without any other symptoms night terrors alone probably isn't indicative of Salicylate sensitivity.
Stomach discomfort or diarrhea
Itchy skin, hives or rashes
Asthma and other breathing difficulties
Rhinitis, sinusitis, nasal polyps
Pseudoanaphylaxis
Angioedema
Headaches
Bed wetting or urgency to urinate
Changes in skin color/skin discoloration
Fatigue
Sore, itchy, puffy or burning eyes
Hyperactivity
Memory loss and poor concentration
Depression
Tinnitus ringing of the ears
Swelling of hands, feet, eyelids, face and/or lips
But, that doesn't mean it isn't worth investigating further, especially if other symptoms are present.

^ a lot of those symptoms I'd have never guessed for sal sensitivity. I'd have just assumed basic grass/plant allergies.
After I detoxed sals via epsom salts the first time, I realized that they were also causing my sky high anxiety/depression & audio sensitivity. 5 days of epsom salts on my skin and the WORST depression/anxiety/audio sensitivity of my entire life was almost completely lifted.
I remember reading a list of possible symptoms before and it's a couple pages long. One that stands out is frequent urination or bed wetting as a child -> because your body keeps trying to excrete the excess acids via urination and cannot without the minerals it needs.. but it keeps trying and trying so you pee and pee.
