I feel like this is a trick question, as the answer appears blatantly obvious - f**k no!
If this is something that happened decades ago then parents attitudes & life was different then.
Its never a trick question with me. It happened to me years ago. I can only just remember it and it's always been a mystery to me because I didn't know the woman involved, I never saw her again and I was never allowed to ever mention the incident ever again. I just find it really weird. I don't think anything bad happened to me and as far as I remember it wasn't even an unpleasant experience.
If you were 2 or 3 at the time then there is no way you have the full story of what exactly happened and if the person involved was indeed a stranger. e.g. My grandmother used to offer respite care for pregnant woman, young mothers and their children etc . She was a complete stranger to these women at first.
Having said that, it's f*****g weird that the incident is taboo.
There’s an old joke about Pennsylvania: a state with 2 major cites on either end of the state that hate each other, divided by the old-order Amish and old-order Mennonites.
I grew up, and still live, in PA Dutch Country. If you ever had to deal with the old-order Amish, you find out very quickly
they do not trust anybody outside their order.
