We'd all be on the Sweet Pea diet. Om Nom's a vegetarian.

True, to an extent, but their numbers would decline drastically.

Family pets would eventually disappear.

Tell that to your cats.

Seriously, though, how many other species have been used for milk production. Sure, cattle are one. What else?

Goats, sheep, llamas, yaks, and camels.

I was a vegetarian for two years about 1990 or so because of a medical condition. After two years, I was able to start eating meat again, slowly at first, and the condition never returned.

That's a very good start. There's at least two more, though.

Edit: Out of curiosity, I did a search on the Internet and found a list of ten and that list doesn't include the two I was thinking of above.

So, at least seven more.

Before I forget, the others I found mentioned were buffalos, elks, reindeer, donkeys, and alpacas.

The additional two that weren't in the larger list I found were horses and musk oxen.

Cats don't typically consume milk as adults and are lactose intolerant like most adult mammals.

They sell a product called cat milk, which is milk made suitable for cats.
