If one's tone is already smug, ending a post with these only reinforces that. If one isn't being smug I don't have any issue with them.

I am rapidly coming to hate the "laughing while crying" emoji. Mainly for how it's used these days. You get the people laughing at their own jokes that aren't even good enough to qualify as "bad jokes", and the incredibly stupid people who seem to think the last word in any debate is a string of 10 laughing-while-cryings. Honourable mention to the "praying hands" emoji, which is mainy used by people being condescending gits on Facebook. I glad we don't have either of those here.
