I've heard that phrase a number of times by people saying ''Life is too short'' and I seem to think that the people telling me that are people who have little worries, anxiety and stuff in their lives and do lots of fun and exciting stuff whereas I maybe at home not really feeling wanting to go out and have few friends and therefore it makes me feel like life is wasting away and its not being lived. Everyone else is going out on a nice holiday abroad somewhere with family or friends, going to a cool music festival, etc and here I am doing not as much of that.

Yeah money is the big anxiety inducer. Everything comes back to money. About the only thing worse is health problems.

I have a good career and money is one of my main worries still. I think if I ever get to the point where I am near retirement I will probably get sick and die hah

Even if you did have a worry-free life, you'd probably invent worries over trivial things. That's what I did when I still lived at home and had my mother there and didn't have any money worries or even any responsibilities except going to my part-time job. I'd worry about absolutely stupid things like who was driving the bus and if my favourite driver wasn't driving the bus I'd grieve like I'd just lost a loved one or something. Such utter madness.

But then again, if you have worried about money or your health before and then things worked out for you (like winning the lottery and being given treatment or cure of whatever health problem you might have had) maybe we'd be more appreciative of life. But I think it's human nature to get bored of being happy all the time and so we'll find things to worry or stress about.
And when you have an anxiety disorder like me the little things can worry you more than the big things.

The terms "worry-free" and "life" are contradictory -- only the dead have no worries.
