Not sure which way they lean or what their long term political objectives may be, but one of the Masons I know told me there are people from all levels of government in that room.. city/municipal, provincial, (not sure about federal), heads of police forces etc - they're all there - along with business people and others. He described it as "the Power in that room..." and yet, even though he is a conservative hardcore capitalist business type to the nth degree, he never said one word about utilizing contacts for business, investments, growing sales etc - nada. But he likes to be in the know about more powerful things that shape society, I suppose.. can't have all those people in the same room and not have some sort of influence on one another.. info sharing, decision making etc.

And a couple different Masons I know have said a bit about how there is a lot of personal development stuff. A Lot. That's one of them's main reason for joining - self improvement, becoming a "next level," human sort of thing.

By coincidence, yesterday I received an invitation via Facebook to a Masonic Public Meeting in Montreal. Not sure how I would have gotten there on such short notice. I suppose it was meant as a compliment.

BTW the guy who sent this is Jewish which lends support to my earlier claim that Masons can be Jewish. I don't know if he is in fact a Mason, but not sure why he would have sent this otherwise.

EDIT this definitely appears to be a recruitment activity.

There have always been Jewish Masons.
