In the UK we are very big on Indian food/curry. This lady was telling me how she went with her husband to this Indian restaurant and they served her curry that was ‘fridge cold’. More to the point obviously she was not happy about it and told the waiters to heat it up.

Do you find it hard to believe that a UK restaurant could be that lazy though to serve cold food?

It can & does happen, that food is served cold. Often is the case whereby somebody will leave something somewhere that isn't the heat lamp for example, and it will go cold, and then someone else will move under the heat lamp and it will make it a bit warm but not properly hot.

And heat lamps are used a lot in various restaurants.

You have to remember that a lot of servers/waiters are on minimum wage and are often rushed off their feet.
