I can't stand it when some people generalise
I remember last night watching a clip from the talktv channel on YouTube and people were phoning in about their opinions on the current Israel-Hamas conflict and there was someone on there was some veteran on there who had served from 1979 to 1983 and basically and was basically saying not just Hamas were evil in the atrocities they committed but so are the Palestinians as though he is implying that even ordinary Palestinian man, woman and child civilians are "evil" and was putting them in the same group as Hamas. The presenter tried to tell him not to blame all the billions of Muslims and the people in Gaza or Palestine for being "fanatics" and then the guy made the distasteful comparison of saying "Well yeah but they said that once about Hitler and the Nazis."
It really did almost make my blood boil because I can't stand it when some people seem to blame other people who had nothing to do with something horrible being perpetrated by their governments or by terrorist organisations who follow misguided interpretations of religious scriptures when an ordinary person in the street is maybe either Christian, Jewish or Muslim and treats everyone with respect in his or her community despite religious differences. I remember hearing a story once when a Muslim woman was told apologise by some random passerby for 9-11 when she has nothing to do with it. It's like blaming all Germans for being Nazis and for all the horrors in Europe during world war 2 when clearly not all Germans supported Hitler.
I can't stand it, either. It demonstrates deep-rooted prejudice. Some people might think they're against racism, especially towards specific races, and even virtue signal about it but still have some towards other groups. It's extremely transparent in some cases. I've noticed it in my family recently which has surprised me to be honest because I didn't think they were like that.
I think that right now people are trying to dehumanize Palestinians to justify Israel's behavior and America's support of them. When people dehumanize others, atrocities committed towards them seem like less of a big deal. Some even seem to suggest that it's justified. That's a common theme throughout history (e.g. the Nazis considered Jews less than human). I think it's hard for people to have a more nuanced and balanced outlook. It's easier to think in terms of good guys vs. bad guys.

You will find a lot of biased, imbalanced news on the internet, delivered by questionable presenters, in some corners of the internet.
I would try not to let it get to you. I think the statistic for actual Nazis in Germany at the time was only about 10% or so, and yet the German people are forever tainted with the actions of a few.
It is how it goes, unfortunately.
