A recurring dream of being in an airport (always the same layout), not being sure where I'm going, and knowing the plane is going to crash because that's another recurring dream.

I dreamt I was in an airport, and I lost track of my sweetie, she just disappeared with no warning. I went to an upstairs help desk which had as a backdrop a huge panoramic picture window of some military base, I was supposed to see Brooke army medical center but for some reason it was out of the picture. various help desk people [all elderly] tried to help me but they had insufficient data, and then porn star Ron Jeremy as he is now [elderly and senescent, but in security guard uniform] was behind one desk and he told me to wait a minute... and a minute... ad infinitum, then I awoke.

My daughter and I were in a shop near the windows.
We turned a corner and saw my ex-husband (her dad).
He was with his husband with their little boy.
It was the first time I'd seen him since court 2020.
My daughter fainted, out of fear.

I took my dog to a vet from real life, where I haven't been for about 20 years. The lights were off and the receptionist was quite somber. She answered the phone and in her greeting she referred to "the late Dr. Lenora _________" (I can't remember the surname) as the owner, and the names of two men who were also vets. Somehow I knew Dr. Lenora and I was very upset that she had died.

I asked what was happening. Miles O'Brien from CNN tried to explain what happened but there were big construction noises at the same time and I had to try reading his mouth. He was saying that Dr. Lenora died that day at work, just moments before, because of some sort of error. I think he said she was administering euthanasia to an animal and somehow gave it to herself. Either that, or she poisoned herself accidentally with an animal medicine. It had just happened so I was shocked that the staff were there and they were willing to treat my dog. I expected police and emergency services.

They put me in a room with my dog. A different woman vet came in to say he had worms and the most "liquid" stomach she'd ever known. I was surprised because I took him there for his ears. She pushed on his rear end and I got sprayed with dog crap for a very long time. Lovely. Good thing I didn't see any worms.

Then I was trying to drive home but I wanted to buy Wonder Bread. I put my bag down on a picnic table outside. In my bag was a carton of a dozen eggs which broke and there was yolk all over everything. I decided it was OK because I shouldn't eat the eggs anyway if they'd been in my bag all day uncooked. I went in a little shop for the Wonder Bread and it was a tiny family-run bakery that only sold homemade bread. It was packed with people and I got stuck in the queue with a bunch of Koreans who were coughing on me. I didn't know their language so it was frustrating trying to communicate so they'd let me walk past.

Lastly I got back outside and there was a crazed young boy in the woods so someone shot him between the eyes with a hunting rifle.

Fever dreams -
Yup, I have Covid.

Thats ripe for possible Freudian symbolism. Ron Jeremy as a character in a dream. His whole claim to fame being that he is 'well endowed'.

I can only remember a fragment:
Somebody was presenting a play or screening an artistic film in a tent. It started off benignly enough but went creepy. There was an image of a sofa that went from colour to black and white, and in front of it on the floor, Margaret Thatcher was lying supine and sliithering gradually from left to right, looking like a giant slug.

Go figure. :?

i dreamt of being in the audience in what must have been a beatles revival concert with fake performers dressed and made up as sgt. pepper-era beatles, in those vivid technicolor uniforms/costumes, performing "strawberry fields forever" with all the studio sound fx reproduced over the PA speakers. i was in the back of the audience, folks were sitting in rows upon rows of folding chairs, dressed very casually like tourists. there was a spotlight aimed in my section of the audience. in the dream i was trying to determine what era of time i was in, i figured it hadda be sometime in the 90s due to the abundance of grunge dress which was popular at that time in my part of the country [washington state].

I dreamt I was back at work in the hospital operating room in the labor & delivery unit, all my delivery rooms were in a shambles, I flagged down the charge nurse and asked her about it and she could only shrug her shoulders. just then an emergent C-section came barreling into one of the delivery rooms, and I frantically robbed other delivery rooms for needed supplies while they were trying to get the lady to deliver her baby in a last ditch effort, and the docs succeeded but the baby was basically dead and had to be resuscitated, and there was meconium [baby poop] all over the place including on my clean towels in the warmer because the peds nurse had meconium on his gloves when he reached for more towels to swaddle the infant with.

I had an intensely boring dream. I was walking around a new build housing estate with my partner that was next to the one her mother used to live on. We looked at the houses. Then she said she was going to walk to the shop and i said alright, I'll go and get the car and meet you in the car park behind the shop.

It's no wonder i hardly ever ever remember my dreams if they're all that mundane.

I had a series of dreams illustrating the complete futility of debate and discussion. Can't remember any of the details.

I found myself in the shower whilst using my laptop. It was soaked. I was angry with myself for being so stupid. I jumped out cursing and swearing. Then I was shaking it upside down to get the water out of the keys. It was still lit up but I was scared to try using it in case it short-circuited.

I just opened this thread without mentally registering what the title of the thread was and then read this post.

I was about to say sorry for your misfortune but it all sounded too ridiculous so I checked the thread title and voila - it was a dream!

I think I had the dream because I've started showering with my glasses on. Otherwise I can't read the various bottles to know if they're shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, etc. I can barely even find my body without glasses. It's one of my biggest pet peeves that shower-product people put such tiny, faint grey letting on everything and most companies make all their products look the same.

Also my friend got a new laptop so maybe that's why I pictured trying to read a laptop instead of shampoo bottles.

Oh right. Are your glasses waterproof? :o

I sometimes step in the shower with my glasses on, turn the water on, and then remember in the nick of time to take them off. But that's just me.

I only need my glasses for reading, thankfully.

Water proof? I have no idea. I face away from the water when I shower so they don't get very wet. I just find the stuff and tilt my head back. Then if I'm staying in longer and don't need to read anything I take them off and set them out of the shower. The main problem is steam but I don't like super hot water anyway so it's not always a problem.
