I just can’t cope at my group home anymore. I feel like I’m going to go crazy. A lot of noise and stress. It definitely doesn’t feel like home. I haven’t found anywhere else decent to live though. I’ll move when I find the right place but how do I cope in the meantime?

How long have you lived there

Have you got your own room there?

I spent a couple of months in a psychiatric hospital in 2013 which I think might be similar to what you're experiencing. Have you got a TV or music in the communal area. Presumably you only have to come out of your room for meals and to use the toilet.

Yes, we do. I also have my iPad so I can play videos and music on there. I have been to psychiatric hospitals too. Less restrictions here as far as what we can have but I actually find it more chaotic here because it is more cramped. It’s not super small here but psychiatric hospital is a lot more spread out.

I'm in a group home too, I'm staying here until I find a place to live, this is NOT home, I been living here for 10 months, I'm already going VERY CRAZY, I really tried to cope living here, it is Soooooooooo Exhausting living here with rules, I have to shower 3 days a week, eating dinner at 4 PM, eating small meals, lately it been more food. Too many people live here, the group home doctor comes here every month at 6 AM, too early for me, my bedroom is small, it going to be even smaller, I'm getting another roommate. I have alot of physical pain including pain in my legs & ankles, it hard for me to walk. I wish I can move out today.
