I made it, guys!

I am an early 40s adult diagnosed about 2 years ago.

always_has_been.jpg

I recently escaped from an unhealthy social environment, and am re-establishing myself as an independent adult away from everyone I knew. I once heard a lady say that the reason a lot immigrants in my city didn't learn English was because they didn't need English to eat. I figured that if I moved away from all support, I'd have to learn independence skills to eat.

I also have the latest ADHD that came out in the recent DSM5-TR, but the Focalin is keeping it as fresh as me impulsively correcting my parents' lies.

As a result, I'm pretty lonely since I moved across the country, and am looking for ways to socialize and have people to run things by so I don't fall into bad environments and mess myself up. I would really like a chat room if anyone can recommend one.

Things about me:

  • Lately, I like Eminem's music a lot. I feel like him and I think alike in topics, responses, intentions, and cadence.
  • I've been learning to draw by copying what I see in front of me.
  • I eat Shin Noodles from Costco everyday for lunch.
  • I like absurdity, congruence, and multiple entendres.
  • This year, I learned that when White women say, "Okay, we're done here," or "Mmhmm, yep," they are upset at something someone said.
  • My username is my participant number in whatever experiment I'm in. The number is Stitch's number in Lilo & Stitch because I relate to him.

Goals for the year:
  • Reduce mental health from a primary topic to a background topic
  • Establish a healthy social network
  • Establish a healthy routine
  • Find a new special interest and create a project around it
  • Purchase a house and live in it alone

Welcome to WP!

And, I like your goals...I hope you succeed on all of them.

And, I'm afraid I have no suggestions on how to succeed on them. Perhaps you could find a volunteer organization in your area that you find interesting?

Thanks! I'm actually looking around. I'll let you know if I find anything that works out.
