Hey everyone,

I’m Daisy, and I just joined Wrong Planet after hearing great things about this community. As someone on the spectrum (late-diagnosed at 25), I’m really excited to meet others who “get it.” I’d love to chat about special interests (mine are astronomy and retro video games!), workplace challenges, and coping with sensory overload in busy environments.

A little about me: I’m a 28-year-old graphic designer from Oregon, and I spend way too much time obsessing over NASA missions and 8-bit music. I joined because, honestly, it’s tough finding people IRL who understand the ASD experience, and I’m hoping this forum can be a place to share tips, vent, and maybe even laugh about the weird quirks we all have.

Any advice for a newbie? Or does anyone else here hyperfixate on space trivia? Looking forward to meeting you all!

Astronomy is a fascinating topic. I take it you must have done a lot of space travel in your life, since your profile says you're 2022 years old when you're really 28. (Or maybe it's just this website being weird)

I'm a math student. I come here because I feel I need to spend a lot of effort socializing, and I feel I have extra power in systematizing information.

Yes, you are right. We do have some strange quirks. We can focus on anything that catches our attention for hours and hours. We dissect it and drill down deeper and deeper. Soon we become subject matter experts.
