RFK's "Autism Register" - shocking data collection methods

Do you guys really think you are not already cataloged?

I am (was, I guess) an autism researcher.

These are the ways the government knows if you are on the autism spectrum:

*If you were diagnosed in a school
*If you were diagnosed in a doctor's office
*If you were diagnosed at a therapist or psychologist's office
*If you took a self-assessment on the Internet (but depending on the assessment, they may not be looking into it)

You also may have been diagnosed in one of these ways and were not personally told that you were on the autism spectrum.

This is not a conspiracy theory, this is how things work. At least in America, we have kept a National Census since 1790. Each part of our lives has been tracked since we started using social security numbers in 1936. If you don't believe me, go read up on these things.

My guess is that RFK is looking for a central location for this data in order to avoid cross referencing everything that has already been collected, which would come from multiple difference sources. It sounds to me like he is trying to do it transparently, instead of in the dark, which is how it has been done until now.

I agree that RFK comes off like a nutcase, but let's see what comes out of what he does before freaking out.

David Geier is the anti-vaccine quack who RFK Jr has now put in charge of finding the cause of autism?!?!?
The dark saga of an even darker father-and-son tag team of quacks named Mark and David Geier. Dr. Mark Geier was a physician, but has no expertise in pediatrics, endocrinology, vaccines, or autism. His son claims to have a bachelor’s degree in biology; yet he assists his father in his “research” and, in essence, helps him treat patients, despite his lack of medical training.

Mark and David – were there at ground zero of the formation of the "mercury militia." Indeed, even though numerous studies have exonerated the mercury in the thimerosal preservative, in particular the fact that over seven years after it was removed from childhood vaccines other than the flu vaccine, new autism diagnoses have shown no signs of decreasing, the Geiers cling stubbornly to the belief that “autism is a misdiagnosis for "mercury poisoning" in vaccines.

Their solution was CHEMICAL CASTRATION using a powerful anti-sex hormone drug called Lupron. They even called it their “Lupron protocol,” and a disturbing number of parents not only fell for this disturbing abuse of autistic children for "precocious puberty," taking away their desire for sex or ability to procreate, but they paid a lot of money for the Geiers to do it.
Even after the revelations of what the Geiers did, how did they manage to keep subjecting children to a treatment with science so bad that it doesn’t even qualify as junk science.

In 2011, Dr. Mark Geier was stripped of his license in every state he had an office in and then, the next year, his son, David, was found guilty by the Maryland Board of Physicians of practicing medicine without a license.
And this is the anti-vaccine quack who RFK Jr has now put in charge of finding the cause of autism?

Wait, what? I haven't yet been diagnosed, but I have taken tons of those self-assessments and all of them have come back overwhelmingly very likely autistic.

You're telling me that they can put me on the list for these self-assessments? (I know you said not all of them, but I've taken tons of them, ugh.)

① "never pay taxes"

Then there has been a serious oversight. I was paying income taxes from 1973 until I retired (twice, really!).

Will taxes I've already paid be refunded to me?
- Will only federal taxes on income be refunded or also state and local taxes?

What about taxes other than income taxes?
- Will real estate taxes also be refunded?
- Will sales taxes also be refunded? (This will be tough...I didn't keep as careful records on them!)


② "never hold a job"

Well, fortunately, I no longer hold a job and never want one again so no problem there (now!). My pensions, social security, and investment income are meeting my needs. I'm afraid I can't refund the pay I received from those jobs, however. I didn't know the government was going to step forward to pay all of my bills so I used my income to pay the bills.

Uh...wait a second... I did spend time in the military so, indirectly, the federal government was paying my bills then (I used the pay they gave me to pay my bills, so, yeah). How do we factor that in?


③ "they’ll never go out on a date"

The gal I'm married to would object if I started dating other women!


④ "they’ll never play baseball, they’ll never write a poem"

Not far from the truth. I'm certainly no Babe Ruth.

And I seldom say stuff in rhyme. It takes too much time.
