I do not agree with the idea of someone being non-binary in gender. It makes no sense because to identify something that something must have properties and characteristics to it. All non-binary, tells me is what you’re not and what characteristics you don’t have. It doesn’t tell me what you are or what characteristics you have. It’s like telling me over the phone that you have jelly beans that are not blue. Well, what are the colors? If you have an object or idea you have to be able to give the characteristics to these objects and/or ideas to describe what they actually are, not what they are not. If you’re non-binary then what are you? What are your characteristics? What are the properties that make you up?

I like the term non-binary because I'm Assigned Male at Birth and have constantly male-failed.
I remember a TSA agent identifying me as female as I was walking up to the security screening right after 9/11!
That was when I had a full beard! I'd wear boys' clothes because I was too small for men's clothes.

Same thing when I walked up to an ice cream stand in Mystic wearing a T-shirt and shorts! Must be something about the way I walk since they both saw me walking up to them (TSA agent in previous example).

When I was working I'd identify as male but by the end of the conversation over the phone they switched my gender to female.

There is a perception that I'm female even though the Federal Government says I belong to the male gender.

I now wear women's clothes as XS clothes fit me perfectly!
I discovered that there is a huge variety of clothes I can now buy when previously there was nothing that fit properly!

Non-binary simply means you acknowledge that you're not on only one side of the made-up concept of gender.

I would argue that almost everyone is non-binary, because very few people actually fit the stereotype of what is supposed to be 'male' or 'female'.

A woman who works as a mechanic, likes to wear dresses, has a lovely flower garden, and collects model trains? Non-binary.

A man who works as a nurse, drives a muscle car, drinks daiquiris, plays football on the weekends, and whose favorite color is pink? Non-binary.

Analog

To what I know at least, one can have both masculine and feminine traits and therefore feel like neither but "something in between".
