I think in terms of rights, and especially disability rights, we talk about them as if the government just randomly decided to give us these rights out of the goodness of their hearts.

We forget, for example, that the Disabled population here in the US literally sat on the Capitol steps to pressure the federal government to pass the Americans with Disabilties Act.

Sad facts that people in Gov. and Politics seemed to have forgotten all those disabled persons as well whom actually went to War for the USA to protect our freedoms .Not just the ADA Program ,a belated Happy Memorial day to all those who might acknowledge that day .
