Alleged Maniac Murder Cult head plotted to poison minorities in NYC: officials
Georgian national Michail Chkhikvishvili, allegedly part of the Maniac Murder Cult, was charged with soliciting hate crimes and acts of mass violence, per the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. He was arrested in Moldova by Interpol on July 6.
Chkhikvishvili, 20, allegedly started planning a mass casualty attack in the city on New Year’s Eve, with an associate dressing up as Santa Claus and handing out poison-laced candy to racial minorities, according to prosecutors. The scheme also involved giving poison-laced candy to children at Jewish schools in Brooklyn, per prosecutors.
He allegedly claimed he had committed hate crimes while living with his grandmother in Brooklyn in 2022, according to prosecutors. Chkhikvishvili is also accused of encouraging others to commit hate crimes on behalf of the Maniac Murder Cult.
An undercover FBI agent helped to uncover Chkhikvishvili’s alleged plot to poison people, per prosecutors.

Didn't the FBI identify right wing terrorism as the biggest threat to public safety?
Understanding the roots of radicalisation and how the far-right use free speech to endanger the public should remain an important priority. Even more important than islamic radicalisation.

Leader of neo-Nazi 'murder cult' extradited to the U.S. from Moldova
Michail Chkhikvishvili, a 21-year-old from the republic of Georgia, was arraigned Friday before a federal judge in Brooklyn on multiple felonies, including soliciting hate crimes and acts of mass violence.
He pleaded not guilty through an attorney, Samuel Gregory, who requested his client receive a psychiatric evaluation and be placed on suicide watch while in custody. Gregory did not immediately return a message seeking comment.
Prosecutors described Chkhikvishvili, who also goes by “Commander Butcher,” as the leader of the Maniac Murder Cult, an international extremist group that adheres to a “neo-Nazi accelerationist ideology and promotes violence and violent acts against racial minorities, the Jewish community and other groups it deems ‘undesirables.’”
They said the group’s violent solicitations — promoted through Telegram channels and outlined a manifesto called the “Hater’s Handbook” — appear to have inspired multiple real life killings, including a school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee, earlier this year that left a 16-year-old student dead.
Since 2022, Chkhikvishvili has traveled on multiple occasions to Brooklyn, where he bragged about beating up an elderly Jewish man and instructed others, primarily through text messages, to commit violent acts on behalf of the Maniac Murder Cult, according to court papers.
When he was approached by an undercover FBI agent in 2023, Chkhikvishvili recruited the official to a scheme that “involved an individual dressing up as Santa Claus and handing out candy laced with poison to racial minorities and children at Jewish schools in Brooklyn,” according to the Justice Department.
He later suggested narrowing the focus to “dead Jewish kids,” prosecutors said, after noting that “Jews are literally everywhere” in Brooklyn.
Describing his desire to carry out a mass casualty attack, Chkhikvishvili said he saw the United States as “big potential because accessibility to firearms,” adding that the undercover should consider targeting homeless people because the government wouldn’t care “even if they die,” according to court papers.

The same people who oppose abortion because they consider it to be "killing children".
Oh, but those are only living children! A fetus, on the other hand, is apparently more valuable than anything on earth.

I wouldn't assume this crackpot cares about abortion, unless it's white women having them.

Looks like all that stranger danger nonsense from when I was a kid about adults handing out poisoned candy on Halloween (or the winter holidays) is going to come true.
(Incidents of poisoning by Halloween candy are actually very rare, and it was usually the parents who poisoned their own children when it did happen).

Most likely 99.9999% of anti-abortion people are against this.
You're not wrong.
It's probably even fair to say most white supremacists wouldn't endorse this action.
But at the same time, anti-choice views are popular with the sort of people who would do this, whether they're against all women having abortions, or just some women having abortions.
Tim_Tex isn't wrong, even if your rebuttal is also true. Most people who identify as pro-life might argue that people who are only against abortion by some people aren't truely pro-life, but they certainly aren't pro-choice, so it's fair to describe them as anti-choice and accept that they themselves identify as pro-life, even if other pro-lifers disdain them.
Consistent life ethic folks would dismiss most pro-life people as not geniunely pro-life and they make a solid case, even if most other people who identify as pro-life disagree.
