coworker trying to get me made redundant
Today a customer asked me to load two litterboxes and a bathtub and I said they are to heavy and I called the head cashier on the walkie talkie. "Head Cashier copy"
"I got it" tattle tale tom said on the walkie talkie
Then I went to the head cashier and pointed to the customer but by the time I got there the customer was already loading it himself
One time today, tattle tale tom and some other servants were trying to load two pallets stuck together
Another time tattle tale tom was with Adam and some other servants trying to load something
All day long I didn't have to load anything
Thank Buddha
Some days lot attendant is wonderful
Other days not so great
Today old man Roy and I were trying to load insulation ducts and rebar and then tattle tale tom walked right past and didn't do anything
The other time I had just finished loading dirt for a customer when tattle tale tom came and asked how many bags
8:42 and 9:30am tattle tale tom was in the breakroom but they were not both his breaks.
Tattle tale tom did not bother me today

Actually, I know tattle tale tom is bad at anger management and critical thinking, but I am starting to think of tattle tale tom like my "work wife". He has some positive qualities. For example he is extremely socially adept.
Maybe I am developing a crush on him
I just don't interact with enough rodents to get a crush on anyone
i don't think tattletale tom is a "bad person" or even a bad employee. but i still think he owes me an apology for following me around the parking lot micromanaging me, barking @ me, and et cetera.
it's weird b/c usually, when someone acts a certain way, as extreme as tattletale tom ("drywall incident", may 2022), i just stop interacting with them. with the exception of my old man and old woman, (who have been dead for five and ten years), i haven't tried long term interactions per se. however, in this situation, it seemed like the relationship has worked out (thus far, that still might change later).
which makes me wonder, what if i were not to have pulled the plug on other relationships? maybe they would've gotten better in the long term.
in some situations, it's better to keep trying. in some situations, it's better to quit. the difference between the two is hard to determine, in some situations.
Today I said on the walkie talkie "Andre, copy" and then on a different walkie talkie I said "copy" and not even five seconds later tattle tale tom came and said "you called". "I was calling Andre" and then Joe came too
It's weird. The between tattle tale toms "drywall incident" (May 2022) and now, he's only loaded merchandise with me one time. End of 2022, he told head cashier DF he didn't like loading with me. (I don't know if that meant that he refused to load with me or he just didn't like it). But somehow he's managed to avoid loading with me.
yesterday, a woman's voice (that i didn't recognize) said something and tattletale tom said "copy that" on the walkie talkie. the woman said "thank you" and tattletale tom said "you're welcome". then tattletale tom was near the lumber entrance while i was pushing carts.
after i went to the litterbox, tattletale tom and joe were sitting around flapping their stupid lil traps in front of the customer service entrance.
tattletale tom has had plenty of long talks with plenty of rodents:
lazy girl nichelle (rolls eyes)
elio
john m (made redundant)
adam w
steve
joe
tattletale tom is really really popular. almost as popular as lazy boy steve and former ASM don.
i REALLY do not understand what made tattletale tom think that lazy girl nichelle and lazy boy steve were doing more or better work than me. and i also do not understand why he started or why he stopped micromanaging me in the parking lot. i also do not understand why he didn't apologize, or why he thinks that just because i never brought it up again, he is "good" with me again. (maybe it's b/c disciplinary action falls off after six months @ home depot.) (rolls eyes). the fact that he helped me load some heavy rocks after that, doesn't make up for it, but that is just my opinion. not a fact, law, geometric proof, or algebraic axiom.
december 2022, tattletale tom told Head Cashier DF that he did not like loading with me because (i didn't hear what he said). they were right in front of me, and i didn't say anything. between Tattletale Tom's "drywall incident" (may 2022) and now, he's only loaded merchandise with me once (9/2023). it wasn't clear if "i don't like" meant "i refuse to" or "i would rather not." somehow, he's managed to avoid loading merchandise with me ever since then. it seems to be working fine for him. (he also might be morally justified, b/c it is correct that i have a doctors note that i am not allowed to lift over fifty pounds. and it is also correct that he could ask anyone to load with him, any employee or even customer.)
October 2022, tattle tale tom had the nerve to tell former head Cashier Evan that I was not stacking pallets and he was doing all the pallets. (Scorekeeping idiot. Roy and Ben don't stack pallets at ALL). I told Evan that I have a doctor's note that I am not allowed to lift over fifty pounds. Evan said he would ask HR how much the pallets weigh. Next day Evan said HR said that said that the building doesn't contain a scale so just don't stack pallets. Then tattle tale tom asked me about the pallets and had the nerve to tell me that they only weigh 30 pounds. I didn't want to sit around arguing with him so I have been stacking pallets ever since
However not all pallets weigh the same amount. And some pallets are not even from home Depot.
Just two times, recently, tattle tale tom bothered giving me a hand with the pallets.
Pallet jack
Been trying to knock the pallets onto the cart without touching them

On Wednesday Andre called me and tattle tale tom to load a washer. I took one look and asked Andre to do it with me but he had the nerve to refuse. "InFocus" videos. A disaster waiting to keep happening. Tattle tale tom weight tested the washer and I tried to weight test the washer but tattle tale tom said "hey hey hey. I think me and him can do it". "Thank you" and I left. I thought tattle tale tom was going to refuse to load the washer with me because I am too weak and I might unintentionally drop it on his foot.
Tattle tale tom has not micromanaged me since September 2023, but he has not apologized or told me why he had the nerve to micromanage me in the first place. He hasn't raised his voice at me since the "the drywall incident" may 2022. I have no idea why he was micromanaging me like that or why he stopped.
Otherwise he looks and acts just like a normal person and he has plenty of cronies.
Someone on Reddit wrote "lower your expectations" as good advice for home Depot
On Wednesday, tattle tale tom and I had just finished loading some windows and I was trying to take the cart from the customer and put it back.
Unintentionally touched tattle tale tom with the cart. "(My first name!) Bro!". "Sorry". He had the nerve to bark at me all "holier than thou".
Otherwise tattle tale tom has been on the phone a lot less lately
tattletale tom hasn't bothered me lately.
he's only said "hi" a couple of times. even when he offered someone a waterbottle and i was standing right there, he didn't offer it to me.
last sunday, he did offer to help me lift the mulch (he offered to hold one end while i held the other), but i picked the whole thing up. which i am barely strong enough to do. been rapidly getting much weaker. pretty soon, won't be able to pick up anything. fifty pounds of concrete is a lot. plenty of servants do not look like they could pick up fifty pounds.
i haven't taken a shower since February 2023. still not made redundant. over two years.
on the other hand, since the invention of "power hours", maybe tattle tale tom's been so worried about getting made redundant that he hasn't had a chance to bother me. that could be a good or bad thing.
tattletale tom hasn't had the nerve to criticize my performance since september 2023. however, he never apologized for doing it, and there is nothing to prevent him (or any other servant, or anyone else) from doing it again. there are just no "checks and balances" and those idiots do not get "held accountable".
tattletale tom just acts like just b/c he says "hi" and "how are you?" and lifts rocks for me sometimes, he's entitled to forgiveness or something. i don't think so. but that's just my opinion, not a fact, not a law, not a geometric proof.
Today the only interaction I had with tattle tale tom was that supervisor Angela called me and tattle tale tom on the walkie talkie and we both said "copy". Angela wanted someone at the Garden. And I was about to go to lunch so I did not answer. "Copy that", tattle tale tom said
