As Pride was already scheduled for June 14th in Spokane, the No Kings demonstrators ended up joining the parade. Despite Spokane's conservative self image, the whole thing got loads of cheers and support, which truly warmed my heart.

If the USA wasn't so full of crap it wouldn't have had to come to this. And WW# is starting and it's all the mericunz fault we're going to die horribly so thanks for nothing world I hate you and I always have so shove it.

Actually, though I don't think you are right, and I think there is still hope, Like I just don't think humanity gives up so quickly as some people like to think. LIke there were massive protests today against a person who puts profit above everything else and for the most part entirely peaceful...While trump was having his sad parade we were having protests all across the country and at least in Denver where I went it was sort of hard to tell if it was a protest or just an anti trump party/rally.

Like yeah america is f****d up, has a f****d up past like every other country....but as americans we are supposed to you know keep making it better. It is americas fault, but we can't just all lay down and idk die or give up...like we have to stand up for what's right and stand up for democracy.

I showed up dressed as Marilyn Monroe which got me a lot of cheers. But then I started singing "happy birthday mister president" which got me a lot of jeers.

My concerns are that the military is only going to follow orders rather than do what's right. They had the option of not going to L.A., but they did. It's like the Nike ad, "Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything".

But I guess the fear of being court-martialed was too great.

And, predictably, the MAGAs will have their "support the troops" and "back the blue" paraphenalia everywhere. They support the troops and law enforcement when they're terrorizing the people they don't like, whether it's blacks and Hispanics at home, or Muslims on the other side of the globe. But when the topics of veterans' benefits or police reform come up...total silence.

What kind of governor is Ferguson, compared to Inslee, in terms of ideology?

As Ferguson had been Inslee's AG, they're very much of like mind.

Wait, what is No Kings? Who are this group and what are they demonstrating about?

No Kings is a nationwide protest demonstrating opposition to Trump's policies. These include the tariffs, Project 2025 (the Heritage Foundation's policy guidebook for Trump's second term), the ongoing ICE raids, persecution of the LGBTQ+ community, the bans on abortion in many states, Trump's relationship with Russia, among other things.

"No Kings" refers to Trump's desire to rule like a king or dictator.
