I’m Darius — 29, based in Madrid, working as an administrative assistant. I’m passionate about languages, global politics, coding (Python!), and sci-fi. Currently navigating burnout and career change, and hoping to connect with others who get it.

wildcard_xyz, Welcome to Wrong Planet.

I noticed that you indicated that you had Asperger's Syndrome. So do I. But I am a little bit older, currently 76 years and counting.

You also said that you are suffering from burn out. I think I know what can help. Generally humans need two things to prevent burn out. These are strenuous exercise, at least 1 hour per day. And also deep sleep (REM and deep NREM sleep). At least 2 hours per night total. I have slept in a heated waterbed for over 50 years and it gives me that type of sleep, deep sleep.

I've just just come full circle after going through the same thing you described (burnout -> career change) and funnily enough, I'm now also studying python
