Grateful that this far I have not gotten hit by a car. Plenty of close calls

Grateful that I still have a job, even though it is a dumpster fire "job"

Grateful my sister lets me live in her house for free because my job doesn't pay enough for rent

Grateful I am still in more or less good health, except the Litterbox, fatigue and weakness and back pain

Grateful to live somewhere relatively safe and not too crowded

Grateful that as of right now, all the appliances currently working

Grateful to live alone

Grateful to live somewhere quiet

Yeah I'm grateful for a lot of the stuff that people take for granted too

I am glad you have things to be grateful for.

Gratitude can definitely improve one's state of mental health. Continue to be thankful for all the small mercies. There's always someone worse off, and someone better off. Many of these "better off" folks have lost their humanity. They take everything for granted

Unfortunately, the pains of life outweigh the insignificant joys in most cases.

Gratitude will get you much traction in your own personal life . And leave you much more satisfied in life, I feel
Having a higher perspective that might include Gratitude from above all your own individual life issues can have great mental benefits .

All it takes is some small frustration to shatter that fragile gratitude.

Sounds like you’ve got a lot to be thankful for, even with the tough stuff. Sometimes just having a safe, quiet place to call home and keeping good health (even if it’s not perfect) makes a big difference

I'm grateful that I have a roof over my head.

I don't have anything to be grateful over.
The same reason as to there's nothing to forgive or apologize over.

Nor pretend that I should be grateful for something that doesn't par to my standards or expectations.

What I do instead was stop expecting out of anything.

Yet I'm currently content. That's mostly it. Without any sense of gratitude.
I'm also aware of my mercies big and small, my privileges and all that.

I don't know.
The concept of gratitude was largely ruined for me. It still is.

Also, it doesn't help that I came from a place where one had to be grateful at bare minimum. In some places, worse or less.

I came from a culture that romanticized resilience. It's inspiring and wholesome to some.

It is not pretty.
