It makes me feel a bit sad because I hate the war but I can't imagine change without it

Or at least without some kind of upheaval where peoples lives get flung into turmoil

Can there the change and peace without war

It's just something that goes around in my head quite a lot

I feel like I've asked this question before so apologies but I can't find it amongst everything else

Most cultures are literally a product of thousands of years of warfare. Competition for resources has been encoded in our genes. the challenge moving forward is whether globalisation and deconstruction of nation states is in humanities interests. Ironically most progressives are wary of globalisation as its associated with concentration of power in the hands of a few. Pro-globalisation means bringing order and peace to humanity. Anti-globalisation is not wanting the earth to be controlled by some authoritarian cabal of corrupt megalomaniacs allied with big business.

that was ironically the backdrop set in the star wars universe. Ultimately no one person should acquire control of the entire galaxy. Ultimately power corrupts.

Peace and War would make a great title for a short story. :nerdy:

Just a reminder: under international law, an occupying power has no right of self-defense, and those who are occupied have the right and duty to liberate themselves by any means possible.
