Families already going through unimaginable hardship shouldn’t have to fear being torn apart at courtrooms or hospitals.
Whether under Trump’s policies or anyone else’s, this kind of enforcement shows how broken the immigration system has become. We should be protecting the vulnerable, not criminalizing them. Children — sick or healthy — deserve compassion, not handcuffs.
It’s not about left vs. right anymore. It’s about basic humanity.
