TV Episodes You Have Just Watched
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
Started at 9am. Switched it off at 4pm. I was watching while I worked on the computer.
Seven episodes.
Season 20
"Black out"
Defense Attorney Nikki Staines finds herself as a victim of rape following a police charity event; a hesitant Benson turns to her own for a suspect.
"Dearly Beloved"
The squad investigates a case with conflicting reports when a lady crashes a wedding to accuse her therapist of sexual assault. (T.J.Thyne was in this. He played Jack Hodgins on Bones, which I watched before Law & Order SVU)
"The Good Girl"
Benson tries to unearth the secret of a pregnant teenager when she is unwilling to identity the baby's father.
This was a little twisted.
"Exchange"
After a cab driver assaults a teenaged exchange student, Benson steps in to help the young girl.
"Diss"
A pop star is assaulted in her home, which leads the squad of detectives to investigate the public feud between her rapper husband and a rival recording artist.
"Assumptions"
The squad searches for two suspects after a Muslim lady is attacked inside of a synagogue; Benson is shocked that Rob Miller is out on bail. (Bob Miller is a call back to "Black out")
"End Game"
Although she is unable to prove it, Lt. Benson suspects Rob Miller is behind the death of a teenager, who is found dead in the Hudson River.
All descriptions are from TitanTV, famous in my mind for one sentence descriptions. (Things in parenthesis are my comments.)
Bob Miller is a very wealthy and powerful man accused in "Black out" of running under aged sex parties. Yes, it sounds familiar, but it strictly a coincidence. Richard Kind plays his lawyer. I've seen Richard Kind play evil people before, but with a face like that, you have to love him.

It has been a long time since I've had an SVU watch day while working on the computer. Enjoyable, but not very forthcoming with laughs.

Finished season 3
I enjoyed this story and its characters very much. Jasper Teerlinck is a brilliant and depending on your perspective, flawed man. The show is funny one minute, and sad in a non trivial manner the next. Perpetrators are
Cast of characters, left to right
Commissioner Christina Flamant - Possibly the only woman he has ever loved. He tells Annelies the they were in a relationship for three years.
Chief Inspector Paul Rabet - lost is his daughter in an accident and is coping with the loss through the series. He and his wife cares for the granddaughter while the son-in-law is "where ever."
Inspector Daan De Winter - an extraordinarily likable guy, always taking notes, and harbors feelings for person next to him. He is always touching Jasper's stuff.
Inspector Annelies Donckers - Intelligent and driven
Professor Jasper Teerlinck - expertly played by Kown De Bouw.
Ingrid Sneyers (Mrs. Sneyers) - "Secretary of the faculty." It is stated in the first episode. She is the glue who without the world would disintegrate. It is true. She is the only true match for Jasper. Although she is referred to as Mrs. Sneyers, I cannot recall any mention of Mr. Sneyers.
Walter De Paepe - The Dean of the university. Jasper's best friend, father figure (???), and boss. He has known Jasper since he was a child, and was very close to the family. He, Mrs. Sneyers, and Jasper make a dynamic triangle of characters.
Not pictured, but important.
Adelinde Van Marcke - Jasper's caring and loving mother, who Jasper often attempts to avoid. Her husband died when Jasper was 8.
Herman Donckers - Annelies father, who it is established in episode 1 has Alzheimer's. Over the course of the first two series, we see him slowly diminish away until end of life. Truly sad.
Helena Gijselbrecht - Psychiatrist assigned to Jasper in series 2. She is sometimes the person of interest in Jasper's hallucinations and dreams. Sample of one such dream: Jasper is sitting in his home. Dr. Gijelbrecht is dressed in a nightgown. "What's going on? What's going to happen?" One might think. Jasper tells her to make him a sandwich. She leaves to the kitchen to make him a sandwich. Okay, now I get it. She nourishes him.
Inspector Saskia Vogels - Replaces Annelies in series 3. Very much the opposite of Annelies in many ways. It is tricky to replace a character in a series. It's like replacing an ingridient. It takes a while to get use to the new taste.
Inspector John Van Humbeeck - Replaces Daan in series 2.
Kafka - Adelinde's dog, who is left with Mrs. Sneyers when she comes to visit Jasper at the university.
Johan Vermarcke - We meet Johan in the series 1, episode 5. He is a receptionist for a hotel. Jasper helps to send him to prison for life. When Jasper goes to prison in series 3, Johan is shown as a bystander, and observer. He introduces himself to Jasper, and they find they have a lot in common, chess, music, books, quoting books along with the author and the date. They both enjoy art. Johan is in charge of the library, which is sort of funny because when they first meet in series 1, Jasper introduces himself as a consultant for the police. He shows Johan his card, and Johan says "That's your library card."
Jasper responds, "Can I still ask you some questions?" Even in the first series, Johan knew as a person that grew up with an exceptional mind, he found a kindred spirit with Jasper, a friend.
There was so much I enjoyed about this program. I have started watching it again (yesterday)

Season 1 of:
Patience [2025–?]
English remake of Astrid et Raphaëlle [2019–?].
I enjoy both and think both are excellent! And Patience is a faithful English remake of Astrid..., the episodes in the former are clearly rewrites of episodes in the latter.
● A reason to favor Patience: it's in English! (vs. Astrid...'s good English subtitles.)●
● A reason to favor Astrid...: so far, it has 40 episodes completed vs. Patience which has 6 episodes completed with future episodes contingent on public broadcasting getting funding...which Trump plans to cut!
