You caught me wrong footed; I'd never heard of nails that bite!

I've been biting my nails all my life but I'm not willing to change. I prefer short nails and it just makes one less chore (cutting or filing my nails).

I bite them also and I prefer them short. Long nails make me cringe.

People don't really notice your hands much anyway, especially how long your nails are, unless you paint them a bright colour maybe.

I remember when I first wore my engagement ring it took weeks for people to notice.

It depends on the person.

I used to have an autistic friend and he would comment on my nails as soon as they got slightly too long. He noticed straight away.

I guess I'm a different kind of Asperger's. I never got into fingernail biting, thumb sucking, overeating, drinking hot liquids, or spicy foods. I have an avoidive personality rather than addictive. I tried biting my fingernail once to see what the appeal was - and I found none. Why put something in your mouth that has no flavor?

My NT brother had a problem with thumb sucking, and everything he touched smelled awful. Why do something like that???
