Donkey Kong Country~ all 3 games for SNES.
Mega Man X~ for SNES.
Pokemon Yellow~ for GameBoy Color but only played on computer using an emulator.
Streets Of Rage~ all 3 games for Sega Genesis.
Final Fantasy IV & VI~ SNES games that were remade for GBA but only played em on my computer using an emulator. I never got the games for SNES. I never had a GameBoy system either partly due to having limited money & vision issues. I haven't played the other FF games yet.
Super Mario RPG~ for SNES. Kinda count because you can move in 3d but it mostly used 2d sprites or something like that.

I forgot about Tetris. I played that a lot on my graphing calculator during high-school

Thought to add Sailor Moon Another Story. RPG game for SNES that takes place after the series ended. It was only released in Japan. A fan made translation was made for emulators at the end of the 90s. Unfortunately the team focused on being literal word for word not caring about syntax(I think that's the correct term) at all. They majorly missed the mark & the storyline made little sense without guides. A few years ago a couple fans made their own translation patch that focused on syntax which was a lot easier to follow so the guides are not needed to understand

I too loved several titles mentioned.
I would add:
Snow Bros - Neo Geo
Captain Tomaday - MAME
Do Don Pache - MAME
Metal Slug - all versions - Neo Geo
Contra - NES
Super Dodge Ball - NES
Micro Machines - NES
Secret of Mana - SNES
These are all 2player at once, BTW

Yep.... and Krush, Kill & Destroy.

One I enjoyed immensely and was donated by Activision to it's fanbase, who still run it... Netstorm : Islands at war
