Auditory Integration training

i went to an autism fair yesterday, and got lots of information about lots of things ( camps, schools, swings, books, etc)...i stopped at one booth that was touting AIT ( auditory integration training). has anyone had any experience with this ? does it actually work ? their claims seem too good to be true, and as with anything that seems too good to be true, I'm quite skeptical.
