If I had a baby I'd begin the potty-training process as soon as they hit their first birthday. Not to force it upon them or anything, but just to get them familiar with the potty-training experience so that they can be potty-trained by two. Because I'm sure these days more children are still in diapers at 3 and 4.

I'm trying to get the most out of WP before it's shut down for a week.

I miss Queen Elizabeth, even though I never knew her but I still miss her.

My outreach worker didn't come. She was in a meeting. I really needed someone to talk to, today.

There's no reason why the process should take as long as a week - I'd expect a couple of hours at worst.

A site backup has been made in preparation. There would probably also be a last-minute "just the differences" catch-up backup immediately before making the new site public and making changes to the DNS records.
DNS updates can sometimes take a while to propagate and become visible world-wide but in my experience, it's usually within tens of minutes or less.

From a member's perspective you need do nothing different.
Just log on and use the site as usual, but be aware there may be a short time when this fails so be patient.

I'm hearing questions. Why Berlin. Why not Tokyo, Montreal or Las Angeles?

I'm also hearing another question. That of a young, autistic boy asking, "Are you German?"

Here's the answers to the questions. I romanticize Germany and I like old things, and compared to most young Canadians, yes I am.

As someone who was still in diapers past my 3rd birthday, I approve of this message. I wish my mum did that for me.

I can't believe my mum kept me in diapers past my 3rd birthday. I guess she was worried about how I would handle being potty trained.

I've got to forget about my childhood and get myself back to 2026.
