Good Morning Everyone.
The site is back! But I don't know what to write.
I hope everyone is doing ok and are happy.
So what has happened the last few months?
A few things. Trying to recall them. A few days ago it was 35 to 37°C when driving in the car so where I parked in a shop car park parking by the side of some lovely trees in the hope the car stayed cool, my Mum went in the shop and I walked down to the toilets. They are now 20p to go in, so I take my time to empty myself so I get value for money. When I came back to the car I checked the temperature the car was showing on its display and it was 46°C. I was told in London (The other side of the country and a lot lower down) it reached 52°C. We had to go straight home as my Mum had got too hot. Dare not use AC (Apart from only one car I had I got on with with AC) as car expansion tank has been known to empty itself (It may be the seal on the cap) and I never have heard the fan come on, so I opened all the windows. Still had 68mpg with the windows open by the time we got back so it does not make a massive difference though may make about 2mpg at most? (The key is to open front and rear windows so air goes through).
What else has happened. I will need to think. ![]()

As with all my cars my current one has an air con button than when pressed does absolutely nothing at all. It's weather like this that makes me really regret choosing the colour black and a leather interior!

Black absorbs heat. White reflects it. Why white is the most popular colour in the Middle East.
Black looks smart but the dirt shows up just as much as white. Was always washing Black cars. Silver cars or grey cars seem to hide the dirt. Red cars are the most suseptible to paint fade. Used to find certain colours of the same make and model of car used to rust in entirely different places according to the colour they were painted in. Silver would be the very front of the bonnet and front of the bottom of the car. Maroon used to rust in large patches under the paint in the centre of large panels such as door panels. Red used to rust in places like the rear and front panels and sills if I remember. Light blue rusted more underneath. Gold would rust around the lower parts of windows. This was with one particular make and model of car. Other makes and models tend to have similar places but not always as some makes certain colours will be in different places, and to add to this the usual spots where some shapes of car seem to rust in certain places more than other places such as wheel arches, sills etc. The old little Suzuki vans such as the Suzuki Supercarry and the many makes of those vans made under licence (Bedford, Vauxhall, Opel, Subaru, Daihatsu, Honda etc) all tended to rust below their cab doors. The basic chassis structure used to be fine though eventually they would give out. But below the front doors (Many body styles from 2 seat pickups or vans to camper vans to coach built camper vans to 6 seat minibuses in various engine sizes.

Good morning, the weather was absolutely insane, it did reach about 35 degrees in London also. Sleep was impossible. If the temperature was any higher and you were driving with the windows open, all you'd feel is hot hair coming through. I'd rather waste that extra petrol turning on the AC.

Hello. Yes. I heard London was hotter. I am glad Mum and I live in a house made from large stones that came from a church as the stones keep the house cool, though one ideally needs to cool it down as the slates get warm during the day so at night it gets warm.
