OMG ... I loved it and still watch it on DVD. I'm a HUGE fan of Kathy Bates so that explains it.

No one will ever be better than Kathy Bates as Annie Wilkes!

On Tubi TV
Melancholia
Aired 2021.
The South Korean television series, 16 episodes.

I am watching this deliberately with no subtitles. They are available. So I am deliberately clueless to the dialogue. But I still know the broad strokes of what's going on. There is a math teacher, and a brilliant math student that seems to want to stay in the shadows.

IMDB description wrote:
Set at a private high school, a beautiful story emerges between mathematics teacher and a genius mathematics student.

For a better synopsis, see this Wikipedia Synopsis.
I started watching this because I've been watching Do You Like Brahms? on DVD.
One of the actors plays one of many selfish, academically politically driven, music instructors. The same actor, Baek Ji-won, also plays the Law firm's CEO that hires Woo Young-woo in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Her hire is a political maneuver aimed an Young-woo's secret mother. Back on topic. I told my house guest that I have watched two series where she plays a manipulative person of power. So I found another series she was in to watch, Melancholia.
Here it the part I find very enjoyable.
Baek Ji-won is in it.
Jin Kyung is in it. That would also be Woo Young-woo's mother.
Choi Dae-hoon is in it. He has been in several Park Eun-bin series. Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Do You Like Brahms?, Wonderfools, as well as non Eun-bin series. Beyond Evil, Lawless Lawyer, and Mystic Pop-up Bar. I need to go back and watch them because Wonderfools was the first series I watched him in where he was not someone despicable. He is often humorous. In Wonderfools, he is funny.
One of the main characters is played by Lee Do-hyunn who I've seen in The Glory, and Beyond Evil. It happens he is in some series in my Watch List. Sweet Home, and The Good Bad Mother. He has a distinctive face.
Note that Lawless Lawyer also has Seo Ye-ji, who I first noticed in the excellent It's Okay To Not be Okay. I could go down another Korean actor rabbit hole, but I'm missing much of Meloncholi.

Baek Ji-won and Jin Kyung appear to be at odds again.
