This is my 22th Anniversary of being on WP. I remember the original members who were here in 2004 and 2005. I remember the Church of Everything. I remember all the parents and the Christmas presents that we'd come up with for each other. I remember my mourning the demise of the Routemaster and later on the censorship that came along with that. I remember the time that I shared more than I should have about my intestinal health in The Haven. I remember losing a friend on here in the January of 2007 and taking it in a very angry light. I remember my dark punk rock years that followed the incident. I remember the September of 2009 when I decided to forgive everyone who did me wrong and I went back to being a 60s-type Mod. I remember the 2010 and 2012 Olympics that took place in Vancouver and London. I remember Pete Quaife of The Kinks passing away and how angry I was that I got the cold shoulder from my mum. I remember finding a British Invasion radio station and watching the 2014 Olympics in Sochi and feeling like an outsider on WP because I was the only one who cared about the Olympics. I remember the January of 2016. I got a big screen TV for Christmas and I found Hogan's Heroes. I also came to the realization that I prefer Germany over England and I have for 30 years. My avatar changed from The Kinks to Sgt. Schultz. I started wearing a German helmet around the same time, because I wanted to be seen and treated as a man after years of being misgendered. I remember Covid 19 and switching my avatar to The Kinks for a while because I was thinking about how I wanted to be remembered. I remember the time that I moved into my new apartment and a year later I spent 6 weeks in a motel because I was getting a cockroach treatment done. I remember watching the 2024 Olympics in Paris and learning about Matt Steiner the German weightlifter who promised his dying wife a gold medal back in 2008. I used him for an avatar instead of Schultz for a while along with some other German themed avatars. I remember last year in 2025 when I didn't want October and Oktoberfest to end. Now it's 2026 and I'm being creative with my avatars.

Congrats and Happy 22nd WP anniversary!

It's amazing how you stuck around WP for all those years, posting even when other people were not interested. It is so cool to see how many memories you have and connected to your posts on this forum. In the recent days I have been back, I have noticed how much of a positive part of the WP community you are. I don't think WP would be the same without you. 8)

Well, CockneyRebel's first post was in 2004 and yours was in 2007...so both of you were old-timers here when I arrived in 2020..
