I hate the term "mummy's boy/girl or daddy's boy/girl'
There are times where I am over aware that I still live with a parent which is my mum. I only on occasions stay with my dad on some days off work. I love both my mum and my dad but I feel closer to my mum and perhaps my stepmum than my dad or my mum's partner. I live with her because she lives near where I work.
I does irritate me when in society, a man is deemed a "mummy's boy" if he still lives with mum or maybe if a woman lives with her mum or dad or maybe if a son still lives with his dad. I personally don't care really even if I met a woman and she still lives with her parents especially in this day in age.
There are times where I do get quite hopeless and thinking "no one will want to be with me because I'm over a certain age and still with mum thinking that a lot of women want their men to be fully independent, have lots of money etc" which I know does sound rather superficial and like I'm over generalising but feel like I've seen it even on TV dating shows that that is what some people want.
