CNBC has caused a controversy by ranking 10 red states as the worst states to live in....Texas is ranked as the second worst.I think Oklahoma and Arkansas are on the list too but they are ranked better than Texas. I think TN may be the worst state according to the list. I used to live in Arkansas and I would say Oklahoma and Arkansas are worst states than Texas. I can also think of some other pretty lousy states that could of made the list like West Virginia Alaska Mississippi or New Mexico...I am sorry but there is no way New Mexico is a better state to live in than Texas by most measures.

Blue states tend to have much higher quality of lives than red states. states like Texas and TN and Florida are some of the only red states that really appeal to me. But the right is mad at CNBC even though they were right about many of those states like Oklahoma and Arkansas being lousy.

I think it depends on the governor elected. I don't live in a red state but I have extended family that lives in Texas and they don't seem to mind it. Just sayin'

I wish I could say it's a coincidence the 10 worst US states are all red. No, that's not true, I love the fact that it's not a coincidence. If these states all had their way (and it's getting dangerously closer to that every day), anyone who isn't white, Christian, cisgender, hetero and NT would be locked up and treated like aliens from another planet to be experimented on. Women would be forced to live like it's the 1950s and they can't even leave their house without a man with them and it would be acceptable for the man to yell at her or worse because she didn't brew his coffee correctly. I've seen old coffee commercials from the 60s so I know about this, ha ha.

I'd be nervous just being in public in places like that because even though I'm not trans I'd be wearing pants or shorts and I have short hair. Also I might make the horrific mistake for not saying grace before eating in a mall food court.

Red state and we rank the lowest in everything that counts and high in food insecurity, infant mortality and everything that should count.
Our governor is a cow.

I've heard SHS referred to as "Hogzilla".

Hucklebeast, I’m afraid we are going to be stuck with her.

I'd hate to live in a red state where I can't be myself. Where men in cowboy hats would call me honey and darling instead of Sir.

And yet they vote for a political party that continues to make things more unaffordable for them, over and over. And they say this is the definition of what?

They don't like being reminded their ideology creates s**tholes when they believe their policies are essentially utopian in nature. It isn't politically correct to notice that outcome.
