If you have former work colleagues and have their number still and keep in contact not very often. How do you tell if they’re still your friends or not? Especially with texting? And what if you’re afraid to text because of rejection just to ask how they’re doing can you at least try and text. And what if you are the one who is the one who begins the text instead of them texting you first? What does that mean?

The best way to put it to the test would be to invite them out and cultivate the friendship that way. Easier said than done of course, I also fear rejection, but it's probably worth doing. Do it scared as they say.
People often have work friendships that never seem to last beyond the work context because they were made out of convenience. Or if not work, some other scheduled thing. But some of those friendships can and do graduate to all contexts with active input from both parties.
Tbh I don't know what texting first means because it could mean either lack of interest or it could mean they just don't text that often in general. A "dry texter". So irl meeting invitations are the more reliable indicator. I'm a bit of a dry texter unless spoken to first and I prefer irl.

I mean you text them first to start the conversation even though they haven’t messaged you in over a year and you’re the one that start the conversation first. And it’s hard to see if they want to meet or do anything when you have agoraphobia

Do any of you guys have the issue of texting people too much, especially when they don’t answer back right away, and you’re afraid you did something to offend them or make them upset or mad? How do you overcome this fear especially with agoraphobia and social anxiety as well as ocd (which could be part of the texting too much) and I was diagnosed with from all the teasing and bullying I endured from other students from elementary school to high school. Any tips, tricks or recommendations for it?

And a lot of people tell me to stop texting because apparently I text too much. How do I overcome this situation while texting but not too much. And with my autism, texting is a lot easier for me which I do it.

If I haven’t texted them since last year, how would I begin the text without sounding nosy and make it into a conversation that can flow very easily?

And if they asked me what’s been going on with me should I mention my health issues like getting diagnosed with an eating disorder and agoraphobia? Or working to get onto disability with a lawyers help?
