I seem to know of some people older than me who got married in their early and mid 20s and are still together much like my parents and grandparents generations did. I went through my early 20s, mid 20s, late 20s and into my 30s without getting married so far and I can't understand why it keeps bugging me in my head. It makes me feel as though I'm not a "true adult" because of it. My sister is a bit younger than me and she and her partner have never got married nor have my uncle's kids who are 30 and 26 who have partners and not married.

a lot of them had their parents give them money for a house and/or they have special connections to get careers or they chose the right majors and decided to priortize marriage and a family over financial stability. I was always told to wait to get married and have kids till you cant afford it and so many people are shocked that millennials are listening to them and have no kids and no spouse. also many of the millennials that settled down bought their houses during Covid or before the real estate boom and when rates were super low.
