What are your thoughts? Clayface is set for release October 23rd!

Am I the only deeply disturbed by the fact that nowadays they are romantasizing the villains over the actual superheroes? I mean I like a good villain or anti-hero as much as anybody but it feels like audiences sympathize more with deranged psychopaths like The Joker more than they do Batman as he's fighting to do what should be the right thing in a corrupt rat-infested world like Gotham City.

I would have to avoid this one for (what is left of) my sanity.

It's been this way for a long while in the movie industry, many villains begin with dark, anti-hero origins before they become the villains everybody knows them as.

Even long before the movies, back in the '40s, a lot of the "grotesque" villains always had some kind of tragic backstory...Clayface, Two-Face, Professor Radium, Mr. Freeze, etc...

My issue isn't with the villains themselves, it's the fact that it feels like more and more people prefer to relate to total psychopaths like The Joker than they do the actual heroes like Batman.

I've even seen some claim that Bruce Wayne is the true villain because he's a rich guy and the CEO of Wayne Enterprises (because you know. "Capitalism Bad").

Well Bruce himself has had some pretty bad psychological issues since at least the '80s, so...
